Support

If you need help using Cucumber you have a few different options:

  1. Community Slack
  2. The community mailing list
  3. GitHub issues

When interacting with other community members in any of our support forums, please remember to follow our code of conduct.

Community Slack

Slack is an online chat with specialised rooms for various topics. This is often the quickest way to get help.

To access our friendly and helpful Slack community, you'll need to register for an account.

Once you've received your invite, head over to #intros to introduce yourself to the rest of the community, #help if you need help urgently, or #committers if you're interested in becoming an open source contributor.

Mailing list

Over 4000 Cucumber users are part of the daily discussions on our mailing list. If you're unable to have a question resolved in Slack, this is can often be a better place to get your questions answered, and to share your knowledge with others in the community.

Please respect the posting rules.

GitHub issues

We use GitHub issues for project management of the open source development, not as a support forum. Please use Slack or the mailing list for support.

If you have an idea for a new feature or you think you’ve found a bug, great! We suggest you first hop into Slack and chat with us about it before you write it as a GitHub issue.

If you do want to let us know about a bug, it’s best if you can put the ticket in the right repo. Choose between the following GitHub issue trackers:

If you’re not sure, come and chat with us first and we’ll help direct you to the right place.
